What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring chemical compound found in hemp and is widely known for its health benefits.

CBD has been shown to support the proper functioning of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) inside your body and the body’s perception of pain.* The endocannabinoid system is one of science’s newest discoveries and opens a window into the physiological processes of the body including: pain sensation, mood, memory, inflammatory responses and even cognitive function.

Since the ECS is responsible for your body’s response to pain, most cases of people suffering from chronic pain have an insufficient supply of cannabinoid to control the endocannabinoid system. This explains why CBS is so effective for such patients and why so many people find relief in CBD use.

The ECS is made up of receptors throughout the body: CB1 and CB2 receptors.
CBD binds to these receptors in a way that causes your body to produce more of them, so the communication between cells can be strengthened and improved.
CB1 Receptors are concentrated in the brain and central nervous system but also sparsely populates other parts of the human body.
CB2 Receptors are mostly in the peripheral organs, especially cells associated with the immune system.
Taking CBD is a way to give the ECS a little boost, in a completely natural way.

3 CBD Facts

CBD from hemp is legal and will not get you “high”.

CBD products that are sourced from the hemp plant, contain less than 0.3% THC, and are manufactured pursuant to the 2018 Farm Bill, are legal in the US. Consumers should review their state law to determine if the manufacture, distribution and sale of products containing hemp are legal.” Tranquil Earth is responsibly sourced, third-party lab tested, and batch traceable with our QR codes.

CBD effects several neurotransmitter receptors.

CBD is an allosteric modulator at several receptor sites in our bodies and enhance the ability for these receptors to receive the pentapeptides needed to naturally reduce pain.

The human body produces cannabinoids and CBD helps.

Cannabinoids can be derived from plants in addition to occurring naturally in the body.  CBD also inhibits enzymes that break down naturally occurring and regulating chemicals in your body.

Isolate vs. Full Spectrum

Isolate is a type of oil in which the end product is a highly-concentrated CBD. This product does not contain the other various compounds found in the hemp plant. It’s generally created using an alcohol extraction process. The end product is a crystallized form that can be used in vaping, tinctures, lotions and water soluble products and is ideal for pain management.

Full Spectrum is a type of oil in which the end product contains many of the additional compounds found in the hemp plant.  Full Spectrum oil is extracted using a CO2 process and affects various parts of the human body. Unlike isolates, it is not water soluble.
